Interceptor
Pilot a fighter jet through escalating waves, refuel mid-flight, and bring down the Stormwing bomber.
Objective
Fly a top-down fighter through four escalating waves of hostile aircraft, then engage the Stormwing heavy bomber. Your machine gun fires automatically; conserve homing missiles for armored targets. You start with 3 lives and a finite fuel tank. The run ends when you take a hit with no lives remaining, run out of fuel and stall into the ground, or destroy the bomber to win the mission.

How it works
- Wave progression — the mission runs through four sky phases before the boss arrives. Phase 1 spawns only light
Type Ascouts; Phase 2 addsType Bseekers that drift toward you and shoot back; Phase 3 addsType Csin-wave fliers that lock and launch homing missiles. - Fuel burn — your tank drains at
0.3units per frame. The HUD bar turns yellow below60%, red below30%, and pulses with a low-fuel alarm under20%. Hit zero and the engine stalls — you free-fall with no control until you crash. - Fuel pads — green tanker pods drop in every
30–40seconds. Fly over one to refuel at+6per frame (about a full tank in 5 seconds), but each pad only carries1500units before it empties. - Power-ups — enemies drop crates with a
4%chance (8%fromType C). Double Barrel upgrades your guns (lost on death), +10 Missiles adds homing ammo, and Shield grants30seconds of one-hit invulnerability. - Homing missiles —
Spacelaunches a missile that auto-locks the nearest target inside a90°forward cone. Missiles deal4damage and bypass the boss's armor; MG bullets deal1but get reduced to0.3off the boss's weak point. - Stormwing boss — the bomber has
60HP and three combat phases: heavy MG only above75%HP, adds spread volleys below75%, and deploys escort drones below50%. Its cockpit strip is a weak point that doubles damage. - Lives & respawn — one hit downs you. You respawn with full fuel and
120frames of invincibility, keep your missile stockpile, but lose any Double Barrel upgrade.
Scoring
- Type A kill:
+20— the gray scouts. - Type B kill:
+40— red seekers (2HP). - Type C kill:
+80— purple missile-platforms (3HP). - Stormwing kill:
+2000bonus on top of all the hits along the way. - Survival bonus:
+1per second of mission time, awarded when you destroy the bomber. - Double Barrel pickup while already armed:
+50consolation points.
Strategy
- Hoard missiles for the boss. Each missile deals
4damage anywhere on Stormwing, versus0.3from an off-target MG round. A stockpile of15+homers turns a long armored slugfest into a 30-second execution. - Aim for the cockpit strip. The narrow band near the top-center of the bomber doubles damage. Slot yourself directly below it and pour the MG straight up — it's the only place bullets are efficient.
- Refuel early, refuel often. Tanker pads scroll past quickly. Pass over one even at
70%fuel — you may not see another for40seconds, and a stall during the boss phase is unsurvivable. - Outrun homing missiles vertically. Enemy missiles can only deviate
70°from straight-down. Climb above the launcher's altitude and they physically cannot turn back — this is your free escape any time you hear the lock-warning beep. - Kill Type C first. The purple sin-wave fliers are the only mid-wave threat that launches homers. Drop a missile on them the moment they appear in Phase 3 — they're worth
+80and drop crates at double the rate. - Save the shield for Phase 3 or the boss. A
30-second shield wasted on a Phase 1 scout is a tragedy. Pocket it visually (it auto-expires) and trigger it only when the screen fills with spray volleys. - Don't camp the bottom. Enemies despawn at
y > H+30with no penalty, but you lose easy points and risk Type B drifting onto you. Cruise around mid-screen so missiles can lock forward targets and you have room to dodge sideways.
